We put used bladecenter servers into our new office because you could not beat the deal that we were offered. There was a magazine company that closed its doors about three months after putting in new servers and they sold them to us for half the price they paid for them and for free coffee.

Our new business was a coffee/internet café. The owner of the magazine company was going to retire and he wanted to come in to town and get some free coffee everyday for the rest of his life as part of the used bladecenter servers deal.

We were happy with the deal, and then his wife told me that she would throw in the used ibm computers that were in the basement if I would throw in a danish everyday for her. That was such a great deal, that for a danish a day, we were getting about twenty used ibm computers.

Our new business was doing so well and we enjoyed seeing the couple who used to own the magazine shop every morning when they came to get their coffee and danish. I wonder if we would have been able to open as quickly as we did had they not made those great deals with us for the computer equipment like they did.
