The man that was selling silver watches on the street was selling them for dirt cheap. I suppose that they might be stolen, but fifty dollars for a silver watch that looks that good, is hard to pass up. I did however walk away thinking that he might be out here selling silver watches like some sort of police sting undercover operation and as soon as I hand over the money, they will arrest me.

I wonder how many people sell silver here in the city that are legitimate business owners. I have always been taught that if they are using the streets to sell silver or gold than it must be hot. My cousin used to sell silver coins that he stole from his father’s coin collection and make a few bucks every week, until his father caught him and then he had to get a real job and pay back all the money with interest.

I told a coworker of mine all about the guy on the street selling the silver watches and how I was afraid to buy one, he laughed and then pulled up his sleeve to show me that he had not been afraid and had the nice silver watch to prove it.
